The question that arises in minds of millions is do they really exist? you must have heard innumerable ghost stories from your friends and relatives. lets look into 8 most haunted places around the world which might make you believe that ghost do exist! 1.Delhi Cantt, Delhi The capital of India, Delhi is haunted! The most haunted place in Delhi is Delhi Cantt area which is full of green and lush trees. Most of the times, people have seen a lady clad in white sari asking for lift. If you don’t stop your vehicle, she will start running beside you with the same speed and believe it or not, people have reported her reaching ahead of them. This story has been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Horrifying! 2.Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal Several murders have taken place in the Dow Hill forest that has left a haunted feeling in the area. Many visitors have also heard footsteps in the corridors of Victoria Boys School. Woodcutters claim to have seen a headless young boy walking and then disappearing into the trees. All these things make this place one of the most haunted places in India. 3.Ararat Lunatic Asylum, Australia Ararat Lunatic Asylum is the largest abandoned Lunatic Asylum in Australia. Constructed in 1867, This place was reserved for many of the incurable Lunatics in Victoria during the 1800s. An estimated 13,000 people died here in 140 years of operation. This place is now turned into a college where more than 30 students have turned lunatic in just couple of years and more than 20 students have died. 4. Wood Chester Mansion, England Wood Chester Mansion in Gloucestershire, England, is a building with a ghostly reputation. Construction work in the building was never completed, and in the last 200 years workers have repeatedly run away from the place. Several building contractors had already died here in accidents. 5.Rose Hall, Jamaica This huge house is believed to be inhabited by the ghost of voodoo priestesss daughter Annie Palmer, who is heard of causing bloodstains to appear and disappears all of sudden. She was murdered in her bed after an 11-year reign of torture and nymphomania. Annie murdered three husbands and a succession of slave lovers by poisoning, strangulation and witchcraft, before forcing other slaves to carry bodies through a tunnel to be buried on a beach. According to legend, not only Annie who roams, but also ghosts of the slave babies she sacrificed in rituals are seen in the house. It is said that her male victims have actually been not only heard but also captured on camera. Not a pleasant place to stay at night. 6.Edinburgh Castle, Scotland Edinburgh Castle is very much famous to be one of the most haunted spots in Scotland. Edinburgh itself has been called the most haunted city in all of Europe. On several occasions, visitors to the castle have reported spotting a phantom piper, a headless drummer, the spirits of French prisoners from the Seven Years War and colonial prisoners from the American Revolutionary War. Visitors have also reported seeing ghost of a dog wondering by the dog cemetery. 7.Dumas Beach, Gujarat Famous scenic Dumas Beach of Gujarat has many stories to tell about Ghosts. If one goes by the story, Hindus cremate dead bodies on this beach. This area has been reported numerous of times for its paranormal activities. People have reported experiencing strange whispers on Dumas beach. It`s like the wind around this area is full of spirits of dead people. Some tourists have been even known to have disappeared while taking walks on the beach at night. Spooky! Whether or not you give credence to the idea of ghosts, it is difficult to deny that places like this have a certain ‘feel’ to them which makes you want to get out as soon as possible.
