3 years ago today, my mom, Sis. Kay B. Davis journey in this life was ended to begin a new life in Eternity with the Lord. She has truly been missed by us left behind, but with a hope beyond the grave to see her again one day. There is no day that she is not thought of, remembered and cherished. I have been blessed to have Sis. Kay B. Davis as my mother. Her dedication and love for Gods work on earth can be measured in all the work she did throughout her time in the church and in the community. Just to hear her name connected with her past work is a blessing. Today we continue with the Senor Citizens Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner and there are two scholarships in her name, funded by the family and given out by the Bethesda Apostolic Church and the New Britain Branch of the NAACP, two organizations she had faith in. We will continue and reap the blessings from all that she has given us not to live beneath our privileges and remember poverty is a condition and not a state of mind. As she has always told me conditions change easier than a mind set. Ma, we love you but God loves you best. RIP p.s. A sound came to mind on last week. It was so pleasant I could see you on the organ and singing it at the same time. The song was I need Thee Oh, I nee Thee Thanks for inviting me to the Lord, not with words, but with you life, your walk and your love for mankind.
