3 youths held with Yaba in Cox’s Bazar OUR CORRESPONDENT COX’S BAZAR, SEPT 28: Teknaf and Cox’s Bazar sadar thana police arrested three peddlers with 4500 pieces of Yaba tablets in two separate drives on Friday evening. Police source said that, a mobile team of Teknaf thana police conducted a drive led by ASI Delowar in Kachobaniya area of Teknaf sadar union and arrested two youths with motor cycle. The arrestees were identified as Abdul Hafij, 30, son of Abul Hossen, of Kachobaniya and Samsul Alam, 30, son of Jalal Ahmed of Moulavi Para village under Teknaf Sadar union in Teknaf upazila. Police team recovered 4,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from them. Didarul Ferdaos , OC (investigation) Teknaf PS confirmed this incident and said that, a case was filed against them with Teknaf thana. In another incident, a police team led by ASI Sarif conducted a drive in a passenger bus in Eidgaon Bus station area on Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong highway and arrested a youth from the bus on Friday evening. The arrested was identified as Nurul Islam, 28, son of Nur Mohammed of Jaliapara under Teknaf sadar union of Teknaf thana of the district. Police recovered 500 pieces of Yaba tablets from him. SI Manjurul Kader, in-charge of Eidgaon police investigation center acknowledge the incident and said, a case was filed against him with Cox’s Bazar sadar thana.
