3 yrs ago today (oct. 19 2011) our lives were drastically changed. This is the day well always remember as the day Katie was diagnosed w/ stage 4 cancer and the day I felt like I got hit by a TRAIN. My head hurt, my chest hurt, it was horrible. 13 months ago we lost Katie to this horrible disease. Everyday we miss her. But little did we know the journey that God would have for her and us. Her journey has touched a lot of lives. Jacque is continuing to speak at different events here and there. She is involved w/ Katie, Ally and Carlys organization steppingout4hope. Its doing great. Pray for the kids and folks in Monrovia Liberia as this is where the school is. That the girls helped build. We received news this week that another 17 yr old girl Rachel, passed away from the same cancer. Please pray for her family as this is a long road. KK got to know her at her natural path Dr. I was thinking the other day, why God, did you give us 3 beautiful kids and we suffer the loss of one. I thought what is the meaning of this life? We all die at different ages. My thinking went on all day as I was working. The words that keep coming to my mind are, and Im sure youve heard them ... I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. God promised us that. He never left us, He never left KK and she knew that for sure. We will get to see her again. The next time though, will be for eternity as we are promised in the Bible. You can have this assurance if you just Believe and Trust in Him (GOD). Just ask for his forgiveness. ITS THAT SIMPLE!!! REMEMBER TO SURRENDER Steve
