30 Days of Thanks, Day 27 I am extremely thankful for my life. It is strange to think how twists and turns can lead us on these paths in life and somehow things work out. This road Im on hasnt always made sense. 5 years ago I moved to another state where all I had was my family, took a job at some company Id never heard of at the advice of a family friend, went to a ren faire on a random whim wearing converse and jeans, met a stranger from WoW, and plopped myself in a Royal Ranger meeting where I was not expected. These happenings seem so inconsequential on their own and are only part of my recent journey, but together have formed the path I am on today. These past few years I have met a guy that I love so much and has impacted me in such a great way. I am proud of the man he is becoming and am excited to see how our future looks. I have grown in a job that I never imagined would be a career and now get to follow my passion of teaching. Not only that, but that job allowed me to follow my other dream of traveling the world by sending me to the Philippines. That is an experience I will never forget. I have found a hobby in ren faires and with it a whole new family of crazies just like me. These people took me in without hesitation and have all become lasting friends. I am now a Royal Ranger which has been an obscure dream of mine that I never thought would be a reality. Now I get to work with kids and make a positive impact on the world in a way that is challenging and fun for me. We go along our path usually unsure why we are at this particular place at this time. My path has been full of many trials, but there have also been triumphs. I am thankful for both as they have shaped who I am. I am thankful that I am in a place where I can look back on my path and see how far I have come and that all those scary and strange turns are bringing me to a beautiful place. I cant wait to see where I will be in the next 5 years. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!!
