30 Days to 40: Day 28 2010: Double Feature Edition So, our protagonist had graduated with an MBA into the biggest recession since, like, forever. He had some good job leads, but nothing the really felt right. The most promising, from MSSB, felt more wrong the further along the interview process went. Well, if youre going to turn down a solid job offer (even after theyve offered you *more* money), what are you gonna do? Youre gonna travel the world, thats what! Circumnavigate the globe, baby! If I wasnt going to do the responsible thing I figured it should be for something amazing - a once in a lifetime experience - and it was. 16 countries, lots of couch surfing, support from all of my friends and meeting loads of new people along the way. I visited amazing places on the other side of the planet. I stayed in the slums and in a mansion. I met Indians in Japan and Dutch in China. I got lost in Mumbai in the dead of night and was helped home by people who spoke no English. I was interviewed by Pakistani students, threw a fit on a Cairo cabbie, detained by Israeli customs, trapped in Moscow when the Iceland volcano exploded. It was a blast. And I made it home in time for moms birthday.
