30 years since I went to York today. I had a wonderful three years there. I never became a Biologist but I cut my campaigning teeth with Amnesty, learnt a lot of organisational skills through the community action project, chaplaincy, and vegetarian cafe. I took up running and made some life long friends. (Happy 30 year friendshipAnne Booth Jennifer Leach Toireasa McCann) Oh yes and I was lucky enough to be one of the last generations of students to be given grants. Time to turn back the clock and abolish student loans!
