32 airplanes and helicopters (?) and 20 ships on stand by before Yolanda at Cebu airport, Bicol Cavite and Zamboanga . So what could have possibly gone wrong that they were literrally rendered useless? For the benefit of doubt, and it does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out - in all likelihood is that all roads and airports were impassable in the aftermath due to debris - a factor that perhaps was taken lightly . We have 2 c130 cargo plane that can haul graders and payloaders and the army corps of engineer to assessed the extent of damaged. Barges that transport vehicle from island to island are just as good and even mobile for initial deployment . A day or two would have cleared the runway and deploy the equipment for clearing and a staging area . the same is true of the ship in which their capacity is ten times than the C 130. i dont get it !
