331 days gone, 34 days left Thurs. Nov. 27th, AD 2014 #WordFromCurtis is THE WISDOM OF DAVID - 1 SCRIPTURES: (1) David put it on, strapped the sword over it, and took a step or two to see what it was like, for he had never worn such things before. I cant go in these, he protested to Saul. Im not used to them. So David took them off. again. - 1 Samuel 17v39 (2) David asked Ahimelech, “Do you have a spear or sword? The king’s business was so urgent that I didn’t even have time to grab a weapon!” - 1 Samuel 21v8 EXPOSITION: In the two scriptures above we encounter two contrasting attitudes exhibited by the man David. 1. Earlier, he protests against the armor & sword given him citing the reason that hes NOT USED TO THEM. Subsequently, he engages Goliath in battle, dressed only in tattered shepherd boys clothing, wielding only a staff & a slingshot. 2. Years later, as he flees Saul he asks Abimelech the priest for a sword or any REAL WEAPON OF WAR. The Lord gave me this message as I kept meditating on Psalm 144v1 which says, Praise the LORD, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. - what did David learn in the Lords tuition for him on warfare? - How did his fingers acquire those battle skills? He was simply smart in understanding how divinity operates. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from this study so, pleeeeaaase make a date tomorrow and lets study on. In the meantime, may your hands never fail in battle against the enemy. May the Lord himself guide your steps & train your hands to execute to perfection whichever task set before you as a direct responsibility, even those you simply happen to chance upon. Do exploits in the name of Jesus Christ. Alleluia... #TonicForRighteousLiving °Curtis Judd Nana Ahenkan° Alleluia! Forever Inc.
