35th Annual Montana PRCA Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals Start the new year off right by attending the best rodeo in the state … Great tickets are still available for the 35th Annual Montana PRCA Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals. The finals will take place in Great Falls, on January 10th, 11th, and 12th. The top 12 cowboys and cowgirls in each event will be competing for championship titles and recognition as the best of the best in the Montana Circuit for the 2013 season. Bareback riding leader, Jessy Davis from Power was married in November and then in December rode at his fifth National Finals Rodeo. He enters the Circuit Finals with a lead of about $1,900 over traveling partner Chase Erickson, the defending champion. Davis is a three-time qualifier for the Ram National Circuit Finals. This year he’d like to go as a Montana Circuit champion. Saddle Bronc Leader, Josh Reynolds missed most of the 2012 season with a serious thigh muscle injury. He cracked out last June and enters the finals seeking his first Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit championship. Reynolds has a $1300 lead over last year’s champion, Shane Moran. The Team Roping leaders are not partners at the circuit finals. Because you can enter a rodeo with a different partner if your regular partner is unable to enter that particular rodeo causes this duo to be the leaders, but not partners. Dustin Bird comes in leading the Headers and John Robertson is the leader on the Heeling side. Dustin will be roping with Justin Viles and John is roping with Levi Simpson. Shawn Downing, the Steer Wrestling leader is on a comeback trail. After missing most of the 2012 season because of a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery, Downing is glad to be back. He’s qualified twice for the Ram National Circuit Finals and is looking for his second MPRC championship. Tie Down Roping leader, Chad Johnson would like to win his third circuit championship. Johnson leads the standings by about $2,500 over Bode Scott of Pryor. Johnson, 42, has been one of Montana’s top ropers for decades. He was the PRCA’s Rookie of Year in calf roping in 1995 and in 1997 finished in the top 20 in the world. Pretty much ever since The Barrel Racing leader for 2013 is Former NFR barrel racer Shelly Anzick who has been a winner in Great Falls before. Anzick, who won a Circuit championship eight years ago and qualified for the National Finals Rodeo while riding her great horse Buster, is hoping to make some new memories in Great Falls on a new horse. She has a $1700 lead over Lindsay Kruse coming into the finals. Parker Breding, the Bull Riding leader is one of the brightest young stars in all of professional rodeo. He is a second-generation National Finals Rodeo bull rider. Parker, 21, rodeo at his first National Finals last month in Las Vegas and this weekend is seeking his first Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit championship. Breding is almost $4,000 ahead of Ty Tescher in the standing for the Bull Riding. Don’t miss the excitement at the 35th Annual Montana PRCA Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals.
