39......and todays my birthday, next yewr my thirties will be over. I know this jam is played out in 2014 but., this record came out when I was 26, back before there was iPods on ships. Crossing the ocean you Could listen to the same CD 800 times from beginning to end just to pass the time and kill the boredom. In 2003 I was on my way to Iraq as part of the first wave. I just managed to get off and grab a copy of get rich or die trying. We had army, and marines onboard and we would blast this during all night 3 on 3 tourneys, bridge watches through the straights of Hormuz 50 brought just the right amount of bravado. I met a lot of great servicemen and I hope they are all still alive to celebrate their birthdays this year too. They all walked off to the desert and I never heard from any of them again. When an entire generation of kids were getting drunk and faded in clubs across America with no responsibilities, a select few were in the middle of the ocean scared as hell on their way to war, 11 years later and the struggle continues. Thanks to all the true veterans out there that have the courage to pick a side and fight for it.
