39 yrs ago today the edmund fitzgerald left port, never to make it through the night as it, and its 29 men on board, were claimed by gitche gumee. 2mrw marks the anniversary of the sinking, and the big lake is at it again. Paradise and whitefish point are currently under heavy snow and wind advisories for the next few days, with very high seas expected. Must be an awesome display of lake superiors power, as the lake herself remembers the night she claimed the vessel. For all you superior lovers out there, lets remember the men that braved what can only be imagined as a terrifying, yet beautiful example of superiors power.
