4. You can’t please everybody Pleasing everybody is the most common road that leads to failure. The reason for this is quite simple. By aiming to please everybody, you no longer are pleasing yourself and when you’re no longer pleasing yourself, your heart is no longer in the endeavor and hence you will ultimately fail So with that stated, aim to only please yourself. It’s your life so your opinion and your expectations are the only things that matter. To hell with everybody else. Sure that sounds somewhat arrogant, but who gives a damn. Let go of the notion of pleasing everybody. You were not put on this earth to act like a slave. You were put on this earth to add value to the world and the only way to add value to the world is by first pleasing yourself. By pleasing yourself you will accomplish things that you would have never thought to be possible and by doing so you will have added value to the world. Take Steve Jobs for example. He didn’t live to please nobody. Only person he pleased was himself and his vision. By pleasing his vision he ultimately pleased the wishes of many. Funny how that works.
