4 days have past but its still painfully hard to believe that I have lost the most beautiful friends I had ever made here at IIT Delhi. I still wish I could share a part of their injuries and they all could be with us How can God be so unfair to good people? Though you are no longer physically present with us, but you will always be there deep inside my heart. I will still cherish the good moments we had together, endless songs we have sung, madness in our dance and being there in each and every moment I can think of in my IIT life. May God give peace to their departed souls and they keep smiling as always. Pallav, though I never told you personally, but you were the only one I cherished each and every moment with. You know we wanted to be roommates from first year but we ended up in adjacent rooms. I always wished I could be in group 5 as most of you were in that. Tere jaisa mast maula banda zindagi mein kabi nahi dekha tha na kabi dekhne ko milega, har kaam ko haste haste nipta dete they. Life changed after you got job in Rocket Fuel and I too joined the same just for your company. We had long plans ki abi summers mein bombay intern karenge, sab jagah ghum ke aayenge, ek baar to dublin intern karne ka bi plan ban raha tha but then we planned for Housing in bombay. We feared ki apna USA ki lottery ka alag alag na ho jaye, ekathe hi jo jaise bi ho. We wanted to go to Canada more than US, apne thoughts kitne milte they ki ek country aur ghoom aayenge aise. Wahan pe bi daily gym, swimming, achi si car and apartment Accident se ek raat pehle kitne khush they ham log, khule aasman ke niche taare gin rahe they. We were trying to find out Mars, Venus and other important stars/planets. Apan ne vo Google Skymap app se bi dekha bahar, kitne kush they jab apan ne sab dhoond liya tha upar. You were so brave, mein to dar gaya tha as usual when some dog barked which we took as a fox. Subha bi to kitni masti ki thi yaar apan ne and the endless selfies we had taken which you had become really good at. Had we all returned home, this would have been the best trip I ever had. Deeksha, you were one of the most serious and joyful lady of our batch. Tu vaise chup rehti thi par jab bi bolti thi, you used to steal the focus of any discussion. We did DHD lab together, you were so calm and we both completed it very quickly, thanks to your dedication. You arranged the pass for me on your first house day. Teri aur Archana ki jodi, bas pucho mat. On the way ham vo intakshari types game khel rahe they and tune aur Archana ne Pallav, Shachi aur meri band baja di thi (though I didnt contribute much any way). We used to think about the song taking long time and then just after singing two words, Archana you used to catch the next one, but for the sake of our effort, you used to let us sing. Archana tere jaise SRK ki fan mein aaj tak nahi dekhi, all the best songs of his movies were on your tips. Yes towards the end, we were out of songs though Shachi was trying hard to find any that she could sing. You know even the camel you ridden was named SRK by the camel guy. I always though ki jiske pass camera hota hai vo hi photo mein nahi aata, but you proved me wrong. You used to come forward and take the pic always. Also some how mere gise pite joke tuje kabi kabi pasand aa jate they, I had got a fan. Mayank, though I met you for the first time on this trip but still got to know a lot about you. You were a responsible guy, led the way to our train coach. We all enjoyed a lot in the camp, you showed us the pole star, treated us like kids. You were fond of photography and hitchhiking. Kya energy se dance karta tha yaar tu and the brilliant smile you had. You all will always stay deep inside me with smiling faces. I know you are going to cherish the people in heaven because that’s your nature. Keep smiling from there. May God give strength to your parents and peace to your departed souls. Though I wont be able to take your place for your parents, but will try my best to meet them regularly, help them in any possible way I can and devote rest of my life for noble causes. Also may God give enough strength to Shachi so that she can get well soon and also the cab driver who is seriously injured. I would like to say thanks to the people of Mool Sagar village who came forward for quick help, calling ambulance and police and the Doctors of local Jaisalmer hospital. I would regret for my life that I didnt speak against the over speeding which costed a part of my soul but would spread the word to avoid future such accidents. — with Deeksha Gautam.
