4 th April. Squishy has a special needs stroller. It is quite stressfull for him when people just stare at him, when he is in it. It is very difficult for him maintaining eye contact. Even more so with strangers just ogling him. Yes I know my son is handsome, gorgeous, cute, he is also courageous, funny, adorable and oh. Yeh. Autistic. Please dont STARE at him. Its one thing that will always trigger a meltdown. If only you were staring because he is the most adorable 9 yr old you have ever seen. Not because you have judged him as being different because he is in a stroller. Just because he is a Big boy now. Doesnt make his low muscle tone go away. Or his inability to walk long distances miraculously get fixed. He also utilizes his stroller as his safe zone. A special Place where he can sit and rest, play on his iPad, watch things as we walk around the shops or theme park. And chose wether he interacts or not. My boy is all he is meant to be. And youre staring and judging wont change that.
