41 years ago today, the Supreme Court ruled in Roe v. Wade that laws which criminalize or restrict the use of contraception, including the decision to end a pregnancy, violate a woman’s constitutional rights. As we celebrate this landmark decision and reflect on how far we’ve come, I remain committed to protecting women’s reproductive rights and access to a full range of reproductive health services, including birth control. Every woman should be free to make her own decisions about her body.
