@ 45 hours to green flag for this years Almosta Race. Here is a general info sheet that you will receive at the gate.......It has been FB formatted but if you read closely youll get the idea Welcome to Wildcat Ranch & The 14th Annual Almosta Race We hope you have an enjoyable day and we THANK YOU for your support of the Rider Down Foundation & The Manna Center of Siloam Springs. A few items of general information: 1) Racer parking/pits are at the far end of the driveway by the Almosta Bike Barn 2) If you are racing and you were here for ‘pre-ride day’ please check in at the Almosta Bike Barn so they know you are here. 3) If you WERE NOT at ‘pre-ride’ then go to the Bike Barn and get your entry taken care of BEFORE you unload…. 4) Rider’s Meeting is at 11:30ish- We’ll sound a HORN when it is time. Race starts as close to 12noon as we can 5) THE COURSE IS CLOSED UNTIL RACE START-NO PIT OR YARD RIDING ABOVE IDLE SPEED-THIS MEANS SLOW. Please don’t make me be a crazy man….. 6) Please be considerate and keep your trash picked up as you go, this is our home and we appreciate your help with this 7) Spectator parking is in the big field to the left of the driveway, PLEASE stay as tight as is reasonable. The start is part of the big field as well 8) Restrooms-We have Porta-potties in the pit area for the Men. There is a restroom inside the Almosta Bike Barn for WOMEN ONLY (by order of the Almosta Lady) 9) If you have a MOTORIZED vehicle that you plan on spectating from-You need to sign up at the ‘tack shed’ which is the first small building on your left up the driveway, PLEASE sign in BEFORE unloading. Fee is $20 per motorized vehicle. 10) Spectators with MOTORIZED vehicles MUST ATTEND a MANDATORY drivers meeting-The meetings will be held at the ‘tack shed’ starting at 10AM and we will have them every 30 minutes up to 11AM (3 of them). Listen for the WHISTLE. After that as needed. You will get your vehicle sticker & map after the meeting is concluded. Donkey Trail will open after the first driver meeting. 11) Bicycle & foot spectators- You can ask at the ‘tack shed’ for a course map. You are free to travel the entire property on foot or bicycle-be very cautious when out in the woods-the racers are NOT looking for you, they are focused on the race course-racers have the right of way in all situations, please be respectful of them. You are also welcome to attend a drivers meeting if you wish and we can answer any questions for you. 12) Silent Auction items are inside the Almosta Bike Barn, all proceeds go to Rider Down so please bid often :-) 13) Auction will typically close @ 15 minutes after last racer is in. 14) Course/Event workers will be wearing hi-visibility vests/jackets. If you need assistance please ask them. 15) After the race- Free Chili & Nachos will be in the Almosta Bike Barn-RACERS FIRST PLEASE, then spectators Thanks again and we wish you a great New Year From The Almosta Race Crew
