5,000 WOMEN UNDERGO CANCER SCREENING IN BENUE About 5, 000 women yesterday benefitted from the free breast cancer screening organised by the wife of Benue State governor, Mrs. Dooshima Suswam in Makurdi. The governor’s wife, who assembled medical personnel to sensitize and screen the women as part of activities marking this year’s edition of the Celebrate Benue Women programme, said the exercise was aimed at saving the lives of women. Mrs. Suswam urged women to avail themselves every opportunity to ascertain their health status. “Don’t wait until you are 50 years old before you get yourself screened, go for constant medical checks,” she said.
