5/27/13 Autism By Isaac Davis I crawled up a mountain beaten and scared Almost lost all of my faith and hope I crawled in mud, blood, and tears Knowing if I stop I will surly die I had help from people along the way Who risked their own lives just for mine I am a series of small victories and large defeats And I am amazed as any other That I have gotten from there to here. (this is a poem I wrote. I have Autism and the friends I have found in life who can express my feelings are Music, and Poetry. As a person with Autism I was told when I was in elementary school that I would never succeed at any thing in life, that I would never be able to read, speak, and socialize. Now I am playing music at gigs and reading Philosophy books and Physics books for fun I play guitar, piano, and sing. I play Blues, Jazz, Country, Folk, Spanish Folk, and Classical music. I have scars on my body from when classmates of mine beat me and cut me back when I was in high school but they are scars and heal over time they leave marks but they stop hurting after awhile.)
