5-STAR review by Janie Bingham! Gracias, Janie! Henry Darrow is pure lightning! June 8, 2013 I have always been a huge fan of "The High Chaparral" and especially "Manolito Montoya". When I found this book, authored by Jan Pippins, I was excited to see what insight she would give to this man. I was not disappointed. She gives a very thoughtful and enlightening view to what I would call a true "renaissance man". From his early start in Puerto Rico through his triumphs in The High Chaparral,Zorro and beyond, she paints a wonderful picture of a man who has given all to his craft. His road was a very rocky one at times with some heartbreaking disappointments but, through it all, he has stayed true to who he is and what his passion is. I give this book a HUGE "thumbs up" and I wish I could give it more than "5 stars".
