5 Things I learned this weekend: 1) 6 hours is about as long as my family of three can make it in a vehicle together. Anything longer might result in a family member being left on the side of the road - in the middle of nowhere. 2) Always ask hotels (Crowne Plaza Dallas Market Center) what conventions/meetings (if any) are being held - otherwise you might have to answer a question from your 9 year old like what is that on his hip, Mom (as she points to a flogger) or why is that man wearing leather pants that only cover the front of him? 3) Cattlemens Fort Worth Steak House steaks are not any better than my Daddys – despite what the reviews said. 4) The navigation in the mommy mobile didn’t like us being in DFW. She decided to take us the scenic route - going and coming – the positive side – found some nice areas I wouldn’t mind living in. 5) Need to make more time for quick getaways with just the three of us. We are often too busy to just sit back and enjoy each other without the hassle of daily life getting in the way. Loved, loved, loved our Labor Day Weekend.
