5 reasons EPL is better than La Liga >> 1. THE BALANCE In EPL , the competition is stiff whereas La Liga is a two horse race. In EPL, all teams have the ability to beat the best, but in La Liga, it’s rare to see Barcelona or Real Madrid get beaten. When you lag behind in EPL, it’s very difficult to make up the gap, but if Barca or Madrid fall behind, they won’t find it difficult to cover upthe gap, unless they play each other.Maybe they are too strong for everyone else. In EPL, no one is too strong for anybody and it has the right mixture and balance unlike La Liga where 18 teams just witness the brilliance of two teams. 2. CONCENTRATION ON TEAMS RATHER THAN PLAYERS Football is a team sport but La Liga is more of individual brilliance. Like when it’s the El Clasico, it’s more of Ronaldo vs Messi than Real Madrid vs Barcelona. Yes, they might be the two best players in the world but why don’t La Liga fans concentrate more on the world’s best two teams? In EPL, it’s rarely about the players. It’s always the teams which are in the limelight. 3. VARIETY OF PLAYERS In EPL, every team has a variety of players from around the world. All top teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester teams have players of various nationalities. But in La Liga, top teams like Barca and Madrid have majority of Spanish players. Especially Barcelona, who has the same team as the Spanish national team except Messi and 2-3 others. 4. EVENTFUL Well, most neutrals I know prefer watching EPL because it’s eventful. It’s full of something or the other always. La Liga is very dull. The commentary of EPL only makes it better. Even the referees of EPL are famous. In a single season, there is so much to lookout for. Like Chelsea vs Liverpool, City vs Arsenal, United vs Spurs etc whereas in La Liga, all people wait for is El Clasico. 5. HUGE FAN BASE It is more likely that you will find a Spurs fan than a Malaga fan. Even in India, EPL is viewed more and there is a variety in the fan base of EPL. Most La Liga fans support either Real Madrid or Barcelona. So this way EPL reaches out to more and more people whereas La Liga always get tangled in Messi vs Ronaldo.
