5 years ago today the world lost one of the most electrifying, brilliant, inspiring and enigmatic musical performers it has ever know, and may never see again. From his time in the Jackson 5 singing his heart out along with his James Brown inspired moves, to the first time he did his signature moonwalk, to the release of the the cinematic monster of a video for Thriller, he continually pushed the envelope with his creativity musically and otherwise. He exuded a certain innovative aesthetic rarely seen. He was an original in every sense of the word, and brought joy to millions around the world over. His imaginative contribution of music and videos has been and will continue to be sorely missed. Though the are many absolutely amazing videos top choose from, this has always been one of my favorites, partially because of the pimp style displayed.
