There are no docks in Denmark Street: intoxicated trombonists, delirious nannies, a throng of minds disbanding into nothingness. I’ve seen men entangled in the tusk of their desires. I’ve seen limbs proliferate like underwater algae. I’ve seen the squid of time bleeding out before us. I’ve seen mouths foaming like underwater springs! The night is a boundless ocean. We plough its waters with our tail of delusion. We are the Narwhals of random incantations. We feed off the eyes of the inebriated fish. I’ve seen thugs yield to your canines of verse. I’ve seen boredom lit by the moon of your thinking. I’ve seen you render the tides of beauty and pain. I’ve seen you plunge into a chasm of madness. Brother, London is an ocean of solitude. There are no docks in Denmark Street. Drift with me to the isle of Innisfree, to lay our helms in a Xanadu of verse.
