6 months in, about to start bulk, but I want to see a 1 at the front of my weight before I start gaining. Its helped my fighting immensely, I feel like Ive leveled up. Ive had to bring my armor in and my garb barely fits now. I didnt really do anything special. I consider my experience to be amateur at best. But this is the first time I havent gone into something cold turkey. I slowly cut my bad habits down to what I SHOULD be doing. Drinks: 12 pack of soda a day > 1 or 2 a day > sweet tea > lemonade > fruit juices > green tea > water. Food: Fast food 3-4 times a day > small portions if at all > small portions of home made meals > wraps, subs, and home dinner > 3 eggs for breakfast, tuna for lunch, and some lean protein with veggies for dinner. If I NEED a snack. I eat an apple. If that does not do it (this isnt the best advice), I vape to kill my appetite. Probably not the healthiest thing, but pushing 300 isnt either. Working out, my weakness in every routine so far is that theyve been based purely off cardio, running to be specific. Im prone to shin splints, Ive done the running on different surfaces, new shoes, wraps, changing how I run, stretching, etc. I just get them. This time, my exercise has been mostly lifting and a 2-4 mile run at night - I did 6 miles one night, wrecked my knees (I tore my ACL in a bridge battle in 2012, its been repaired, but it is what it is) and didnt run for 4 days after that. So Im staying in the 2-4 mile range. This routine is mostly with dumbbells, and when I start to get shin splints I do a few rounds on the heavy bag to replace running for a couple days. Best thing I can tell anyone whos been hesitant to start... just do a little. Do a but more tomorrow. And I can speak from experience, its totally worth it. I feel a million times better. I have energy. I went from chilling like Im a safety to running flanks every battle. I still got a lot of work to do, but figured Id share my story and method and hope it helps someone else in the community.
