#63 I was still angry at zandi, I honestly expected more of her. We’ve been friends ever since I moved to Durban and I felt she of all people would be open minded about this. I unlocked the car, she got in on the passanger side, zandi:”peace offering” she gave me a can of soft drink me:”thanks” zandi:”about earlier and everything I said. I really am sorry leh” me:”im sorry you feel that way about me.” Zandi:”it all came out wrong” me:”I get that but you were just expressing yourself and its not like you were drunk and you said that under the influence. You knew exactly what you were saying. I know that you love phumlani and you probably think that we might be seeing each other but to be honest with you we are not. He is my brother in-law and that is where it ends” zandi:”I overreacted and im sorry” me:”im sorry if I ever stepped on your toes, it was never my intentions” zandi:”you’ve been a good friend lethu and I’d be lying if I said you did anything to me” I opened the soft drink took a straw from the cabin hole and took small sips. We sat there in total silence until anele and asanda came to join us, anele:”are you ok, sis’leh?” me:”im good” anele:”and you zah?” zandi:”im ok thanks” anele:”you see I worry about the women in my brothers lives, now can I get a ‘thank you anele you are the best sisiter in law’ praise accompanied by an award” zandi:”thank you anele” anele:”and?” zandi:”you are the best sister in-law” anele:”dankie maZet, woza sis’leh im waiting” I was still down and not even anele’s antics were enough to pull me out of my dark pit of gloom, I just smiled at her instead and she understood I appreciated her efforts nonetheless. Asanda:”sis’leh I about the crush thing i’m sorry” she looked so cute being shy and all, come to think of it asanda has been behaving differently since Winston came along. She stopped being thst in your face type of girl and became a lady of note. It goes to say that some people bring out the best in us and in asanda’s case Winston was the man. Me:”there is no need to apologise” asanda:”are you sure?” me:”yes, relax” “so this is where you are hiding” said swazi as she came closer to the car, swazi:”are you thinking of leaving already?” me:”sort of” swazi:”I don’t see that happening your husband is having a joll with the guys” zandi:”I hope im not the reason for you to want to go” me:”not at all, im just tired and I miss my girls” we continued with our small chats until our men came to us. Sandile:”lethu baby are you ok” me:”im fine” phumlani:”thank you for coming, I really appreciate it” lindani:”anytime man” me:”are we leaving?” sandile:”yes love, its getting late and you will have to drive because I think I had one too many” anele:”I might as well leave too, sis’ leh can I stay the night at your place?” me:”you don’t have to ask” asanda:”can I tag along?” me:”if its fine with your sister” asanda:”sis’swazi, can I sleep over at the zuma’s” swazi looked at me, I gave her a nod. Swazi:”ok, but you don’t have any pj with” anele:”she can use mine I have enough clothes left in that house” me:”you might as well move in” anele:”serious?” me:”hell no” anele:”you know I was going to take you up on that, it’s a good thing you were joking” lindani:”I guess its goodbye, zandi, leh take care. Phumlani bru always great to see you” swazi:”bye you guys” “bye” we chanted back, zandi stepped out of the car and went to phumlani, asanda and anele got into anele’s car, sandile got in ours and we left. I was quiet most of the way home, Sandile was singing along to all the tunes that were playing. Sandile:”baby whats eating you up, you’ve been quiet since we left umkomaas. Does it have anything to do with that kiss issue?” me:”partially” sandile:”im not angry at you, Im just a bit disappointed that you didn’t tell me” me:”that was a mistake on my part and I am sorry” sandile:”apology accepted now please snap out of that mood” he held my hand, sandile:”I love you lethu” me:”I love you too sandile, maybe even more” sandile:”you wish” john legend stay with you started playing, sandile:”we’ve been together for a while now, we’re growing stronger everyday now. It feels so good and there is no doubt I will stay with you… sing with me baby” i love this man…
