6am Saturday: Mountain 3, Snowden. We set off again in the dark with our torches lighting our way. This route was pretty straight forward and familiar as a few of the team had only done this last weekend. We made steady progress and the sun came up during the latter part of our journey up. We summited around 8:30am but the wind was really fierce so we quickly took some pics before starting our decent. We got back to the bus around 11am-ish yesterday but, like Scafell Pike, the lack of service made it impossible to notify. We only failed to complete this in the 24 hours because of a wrong turn on Scafell Pike and a minibus with a top speed of only 65mph. However, it was a truly awesome experience. My legs, hips and spine are shot. I feel like Ive run a marathon. Some stats: 7 climbers, 1 driver, 3 mountains, 29 hours, total 11,179ft climbed, approx 24,000 steps taken, 1050 miles driven.
