7/6/14 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35 NIV *** There is nothing that is permanent in this world. Neither the heavens (the universe) nor this planet earth that we stand upon today will last forever (2nd Peter 3:9-11). In fact, the things that can be seen are temporary and are not to be held to tightly. Yes, your money, your houses, your lands, your cars, your clothes, your shoes, your stocks, your bonds, your jewelry, your degrees, your recreational toys, your gardens, your liquor, the casinos (yes even Las Vegas), all the things that are flaunted by the wealthy, the entertainers, the professional athletes, even the drug lords, the pimps, the ponzi scammers, yes, even some so-called preachers and others, are all temporary trinkets and will melt with a fervent heat one day! Even our bodies that we dress up, paint up, build up, brag about, are temporary and will return to the dust one day! Thats why we are to set our sights on things that are eternal, on things that are of value in the sight of God! Jesus Christ said that His Word will never pass away!! He is eternal, God is eternal so His Word is eternal!!! Stop wasting your time chasing that which will not last! Set your sights on eternal treasuries; SET YOUR SIGHTS ON GOD! Agape! LMC
