7 things- you know the drill- like & I give you a number 1.) The first concert I ever went to was Nanci Griffith and the chieftains, with my, mom, when I was like 15. The last show I went to was Dave Matthews band, (obviously) and I was 5.5 months pregnant. It was awesome. My next one will be Mumford. 2.) I love bands, old, new, rock, folk, jam, pop, and every generation, new, and classic. Im a true hippie at heart. But give me some rap music and I am so happy, and rapping along with em! Biggie? Check, NAS, DOUBLE CHECK, dr. Dre, fugees, jay-z, DMX, eminem, EVE, Ruff Ryders, lil Kim, mobb deep, all that.. LOVE IT!! 3.) I still have, cherish, and have passed on my favorite childhood stuffed animal. I recently re-stuffed him and made him all fresh and clean for Bella. She loves him, which makes me incredibly happy. He is a big pink bunny, with blue overalls named Kahlua, he was a promotional gift to a family member, which was given to me when I was 5ish. I love him. Haha 4.) I am not embarrassed to share the fact that I was terrified of Michael Jacksons thriller, until about 7 years ago. And even now I still prefer not to watch before bed time. It was so bad, when I was little, my older sister, Tami had a friend who I just knew was the thriller. He was complete with Jheri curl, and the red jacket with zippers. I screamed when I saw him. My other sister also used to torture me by loading the song in my CD player at home or in my car to freak me out. Dont worry.. I got her back. (Consequently, I think this is partially why I was scared of the dark, until I was well into my 20s) 5.) It is not Christmas, until I hear funky Christmas (by the new kids on the block) and the ensuing Christmas album, as well as Christmas Island by Leon redbone. Christmas is my most favorite holiday, by the way. 6.) A league of their own is the best movie of all time, and can recite every line of the movie. Tom Hanks is my favorite actor ever, and the fashions in that movie Are fabulous! I was born in the wrong era! The very best part of the movie, is when Stilwell, angel gets hit in the face with the catchers mitt, and falls down! Hahahahah! I cry laughing (I know, theres no crying in baseball) every time I see it, and I also rewind several times to enjoy the full effect of it! Hahahahah! Oh man. I love it! 7.) During my internship at Johnson & Wales, I cooked for the athletes at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. It was one of the best experiences of my life. There were many places I could have worked, but I was fortunate to work in the dining area where the athletes ate. I was on the pasta station, but ended up making a LOT of stir fries with kimchi as well. Lol. You name a hockey player, I met em, (most of em had no teeth-seriously) I got some of the most ridiculous autographs as well, including, but not limited to the Mexican bobseld team, (had to represent for my people)! The Jamaican bobsled team actually walked around singing! It was awesome.
