7 years ago tonight, I remember very vividly going to the Silverton Cafe with my parents, 2 of my sisters, Alaina, and 2 of my nieces. It would be the last night I was a parent of only one child. Alaina stayed the night with my parents, eagerly awaiting Katies induction the next morning, where she would become a big sister. Kara was born the next afternoon, 10/10/2007, on my parents 37th wedding anniversary. I dont think I will ever top that anniversary present to my parents. Little did Katie and I know the adventures, trials, tribulations, jubilations, fun, etc. that we were in store for. My sweet Kara, your smile and laugh are infectious and contagious. You light up any room you are in. The pictures you draw are truly amazing. You have honestly made me a better person, husband, and father by learning that if you are patient and work hard enough, the results can be unbelievable and amazing. I am in awe of how far you have come and look forward to the steps you will continue to take in the future. Just like Daddy, you are a complete geography nerd. Tomorrow you turn 7, and I just cannot believe how fast time flies. Happy birthday, my beautiful girl. Daddy loves you very much.
