74. Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples, and they brought them clear signs, but they were not men to believe in what they denied before. Thus do We seal up the hearts of the transgressors. (Lit., "We sent messengers to their [own] people" -an allusion to the fact that each of the messengers before prophet Muhammad was sent to one particular people or community and that the prophet from among the Arabs was the first and the last to bring a universal addressed to all mankind) 75. Then after them, We sent Moses and Aaron with Our revelations to Pharaoh and his nobles, but the rejected with scorn, for they were a sinful people. 76. When the truth came to them from Us, they said: "This is clear sorcery!" 77. Moses said” “ Do you speak of the truth (like this) when it has come to you? Is this (at all) magic, (though) magicians never proper?” 78. They said: “Have you come to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers practicing, and that you two may have greatness in the land? We will not believe in you two.”
