7pm status 255th Thought- An Environment Day VENTURE View- This happened back in june 5th,2012 . When each schools,organisations,clubs were busy planting saplings,organising rallies as a part of #ENVIRONMENTDAY, me and my friends planned to do something different that day. We invested some money and bought PENS and we entered a reputed HOTEL. After getting permission from the OWNER,we displayed some notices in the walls and stood right there at the centre to draw their attention. And we said it loud.... To the one who doesnt WASTE his/her food,to the one whose plate is clean,WE give this PEN as a GIFT People smiled and began eating and at the end of the day,almost 70 pens were gifted. We went to the hotel the next day and repeated the SAME WORDS. People took it in competitive sense and it was fun watching them TRYING TO MAKE THEIR PLATE CLEAN and 140 pens were gifted that day. And we continued this for a week and the end RESULT was... We were able to reduce the hotel WASTE which was around 15kg per day to 5kg per day. Everybody appreciated us and the owner even gifted us some amount and said This is for you. I spend this much money daily to throw this waste away and your efforts helped me to save this much. So this is for you Well the small venture we started.....lasted only for a WEEK,but the WORDS which we said LOUD made an IMPACT.... You can afford to waste food,I can afford to waste food, but OUR NATION CANT
