8/16/2014 - 7:30 PM - UPDATE I guess Val was tired of having his trach in - he decided to remove all tubes. He was successful with the trach. This was OK because they had decided to remove it this weekend. Melanie exercised him today (while I got my hair done) and his legs started cramping again. He did lots of begging for us to take him home - he wants to sleep in his own bed. Bless his heart, he doesnt realize we cant give him the care he needs. On a good note, he wanted to go outside today, however, he couldnt because PT doesnt work on the weekend. Wish I could sneak him out tomorrow! Overall, it was a good day for him. Lord, please keep his hands off all tubes so that maybe an in-patient hospital will take him for rehab. Thank you for the progress he has made. Your continued prayers are appreciated.
