8/30/14 -- Char had a UHaul at the facility at 3652 Procyon Street today taking all the 501c3s assets out...many of which were DONATED. Do you think she offered to donate some of the stuff to the SNBBR foster homes and/or other rescues, like the dog treats, toys, food, blankets, etc., much of which was very recently donated...she felt, No one is getting SHIT. Because as she said, its everybodys fault the rescue failed, not her own fault OF COURSE. Plus, she wont give the rescue that helped her out, paid her rent numerous times, tried helping the dogs and took dogs the day of eviction, back the kennels THEY BOUGHT for their rescue! nolo/legal-encyclopedia/protecting-nonprofit-corporation-tax-exempt-status-29895.html **Important! ***KEEP AN EYE out for Craigslist, Auctions, newspaper ads, etc...even from surrounding Counties and areas..Southern Cali, Laughlin, Reno, Utah, etc.....shell try to sell them kennels eventually. Theyre worth alot of money and she wont pay for storage for them forever. ****She CAN NOT, by Law sell those kennels!! Or ANYTHING else...she had jungle gyms, pools, etc..... A 501c3 is NOT allowed to sell assets!!!!! They can only transfer them to another non-profit. Makes sense...its a non-profit...so you cant Profit from assets of a charity. If anyone sees kennels similar to the ones you saw in pictures or news media coverage for sale from ANY one, put out an ALERT out! She may sit on it for a few months until things blow over, but WE WILL REMEMBER and keep an EYE OUT! From: nolo/legal-encyclopedia/protecting-nonprofit-corporation-tax-exempt-status-29895.html When a nonprofit corporation dissolves, its assets must be distributed to another tax-exempt group. Since tax-exempt organizations and their assets cannot be owned, they can never be sold. If the directors of a nonprofit decide to disband the organization, they must donate its assets to another nonprofit group. This also means that once property goes into a nonprofit corporation, it cannot later be distributed to a member or director.
