8 November 1816 [Cambridge Chronicle] On Tuesday last, Daniel Taylor, John Belsham, Henry Ives and Richard Free were committed to the castle by MD Dayrell Esq and the Rev Joseph Hall - the said Taylor on four charges of felony, viz-first, with stealing at the parish of Linton, a chestnut mare, the property of Wm Clay, Esq; secondly with stealing at the parish of Castle Camps, twenty four turkies, the property of AG Wright, Esq; thirdly with stealing at the parish of Bartlow, two Irish linen shirts and two damask table cloths, the property of of Felix Clay Esq; fourthly, with stealing at the parish of Castle Camps, twelve chickens, the property of Rebecca Carter....
