8 Things: 1) I love the number 4. In my mind 4 is a female, and 5 and 6 are males. Dont ask my why. I have given gender to all numbers and all letters. 2) I am completely non-athletic, but I love to exercise. I love to walk, run a little bit and lift hand and regular weights. I also love Pilates and Yoga. I think it would be fun to play softball if I could only hit and catch! I always have dreamed of winning a sprint or race. I have completed a 5K many times. 3) I wanted to be a childrens author when I was growing up. I have written many books in my head. One day I might get those thoughts and words on paper. I took painting classes growing up and I have painted several things over the years. If I could get the two together, it might be amazing. 4) I have tried to like/love tomatoes my entire life. They are still not that appealing to me, although I can do cooked tomatoes. The same with asparagus. 5) I took piano lessons for four years. I took flute lessons for two years. I made it to one guitar lesson. I sang a duet once at church and nearly fainted. I was in choir in elementary school and a youth choir in high school. I like be part of the choir, but I definitely dont like singing alone or being the center of attention in music (or almost anything else). I love music and listen to it often, and sing really well in the shower. 6) I am way more critical and tough on myself than I am of other people. I think I am very accepting of others, but I can tear myself up when I mess up or feel like I dont measure up. 7) I ran away from home one weekend when I was 16. Left on Saturday morning and I was back by Monday morning. I think it left a lasting impression on my mom and dad. I had a great childhood, but I gave my parents heck for a while there. 8) I am an introvert. I was terribly shy from about age 10 to 18. I spent almost one school year not speaking to anyone except my family. I think taking speech, doing various presentations over the years, teaching and being in education for 23 years has helped a lot!! And I dont care what other people think of me nearly as much as I did at one time. Bonus - I was very close to me Dad growing up. He was my hero and my best buddy, and I miss him everyday.
