8 Things You May Not Know About Me (thanks for inviting me, Blake Meluch!) 1) I love doing laundry. I sneak down into the laundry room to open the washer and watch the clothes agitate. 2) My mother told me when I was about 9 that I could get my ears pierced when I was 16. On my 16th birthday I went out and did it, and she was so mad! 3) My favorite sandwich my sophomore year of college was peanut butter, mustard, cheese and sardines. I gained about 15 pounds that year... 4) I was mugged in the elevator of my building in NYC. I thought I wasnt going to make it out of that elevator. It gave me a new appreciation for how lucky I am to be alive. 5) One of my biggest regrets is that I was mean to a girl that everyone else was being mean to in 6th grade. I had been bullied in 5th grade, and I remember thinking At least theyre not picking on me. It is my most shameful memory. 6) When I was a kid out on our island in Maine I read a story about a guy hiding from the Indians by breathing underwater through a reed. I didnt have any reeds...but I had red licorice. I amused myself for at least an hour with that game. 7) Pakistan makes me believe in past lives. I think I lived there. 8) A couple of nights before my wedding I dreamed that David showed up at the church on crutches with pink foam curlers in his hair.
