8 a.m.... Been awake for hours with nothing constructive to do. Had a thought: For the next (almost) two weeks, its just the three of us. Both exciting and daunting, as I look forward to the quiet but not the silence, the space but not the emptiness, the peace but not the stillness.... for in such extremes I can lose myself. Luckily the Boy keeps me grounded and focused with his rapidly emerging social skills and ravenous appetite for destruction/creation (no, seriously, every day has so much input I have trouble facing the onslaught sometimes). Thinking about the difference between two weeks ago and today, a phrase came to mind that seems perfect to me today. My life lives in small spaces packed tight with wonders and soft things. There are a few less wonders, a bit less softness, but its a good segue into the next place. Well need more blankets, bigger pillows, plushier plushies, and wonders unseen... Meanwhile, I can finally wake D. K. up again! :cue awesome Kaiju-style intro theme:
