800 BLOCK UNION AV. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARREST Thanks to a tip from an alert citizen, Devinnici Pye was arrested this morning at about 8:00 am, at a church in the 300 block of Baker St. Pye was booked into the Kern County Jail for Domestic Violence, Kidnap and Assault with Great Bodily Injury. Previous Release December 23, 2014 The Bakersfield Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating the following suspect wanted for Domestic Violence, Kidnapping and Battery Causing Great Bodily Injury. On December 20, 2014, at 11:00 pm, the suspect identified as: Devinnici Pye, black male, 42 5’11”, 225, black hair, brown eyes assaulted his girlfriend in the 800 block of Union Ave. causing injuries so severe that she required hospitalization. After the assault Pye forced the victim to accompany him to the East California Market located at 801 E. California Ave. where the victim was able to call police. Pye has been arrested on several occasions for similar offenses. Pye’s whereabouts are unknown at this time and detectives are seeking assistance locating him.
