#869 I heard the alarm go off in the early hours of that Sunday morning. My head was on Luyolos chest and I was warmly comfortable in the embrace. Me:Yolo. He was fast asleep. I got up from him and shook him lightly. Me:baby vuka. Him:hayi. Me:ha.a kalok fanele uhambe before my grandparents wake up. Him:0ne more hour baby. He mumbled then covered himself. I was hungry ke ngeloxesha ndifuna uyokenza into yokutya. I wore a gown and unlocked the door, going out. It was still dead quiet endlin. I washed my hands quickly then made something to eat in the kitchen and I ate. Makhulu walked in and stared at me as I stuffed my face. Her:ze uvuka ngo5 kodwa mzukulu. Me:lambile makhulu yoh. Her:kamandi uvukile ke nontombi. Uzawkwenza isdudu, sotyiwa ngok eksen then xesha siye ecawen mna notamkhulu wenu, nizapheka ilunch nina, sibuye iready. Me:yho sihamba nin dan? Her:after lunch kalok. Me:0h okay. Ndiyakuva makhulu. Her:ewe ke mntanam. She went back to the room. I finished eating and went to the room too. I locked the door, ndakhulula igown and went in next to Luyolo. He held me close, I snuggled on him and slept again... I was woken up by a knock at the door again, Luyolo was still next to me. I could hear ukba sekuvukiwe endlin. Me:Yolo vuka. Kulate. He turned and looked the other way. I got up and went to attend to the knock, wearing my gown. It was Mercy, she looked so amused. Her:iza sokwenza ke isdudu, uyeke uzvalela apha. Me:ngena. Uphi umakhulu? She came in and stood against the door. Her:haybo uLuyolo usalapha? Me:he doesnt want to wake up. Luyolo sat up, his lips pouted as he rubbed his eyes. Mercy:nanku ke evuka. Me:Luyolo uhamba nin? He shrugged and got out of bed. He was wearing boxer shorts and socks. Mercy stared at his body, waza kum wandiphuza. Me:Im going to the kitchen. If uyayaz into ekulungele, youll stay here and dont make any noise. Him:0kay. He bent down and kissed my tummy. Him:hello bug katata. I giggled. Me:stop it. Behave apha. Mercy and I went to the kitchen and got breakfast ready for umakhulu notamkhulu. When they were eating, I ironed their clothes for them and Mercy got their bath water ready. Grandad kept talking about how wealthy the Nondywana family should be, judging from the way they paid the lobola. Anyway when they were done eating, they went to bath. I dished out a bowl of soft porridge for Luyolo and went to give him in the room. I tidied up njeba etya. Him:akho corn flakes? Me:sithen isdudu dan? Him:I just prefer corn flakes baby. Me:uyasokolisa maan Luyolo. Andaz ubu-... Him:fine, Ill eat. Please dont get worked up. Uphatha umntanam kakubi njeba usoloko ungxola nje. Me:Im sorry. Zisapha, Ill eat that ndikwenzele icorn flakes ke. He gave me the bowl, ndatya going to the kitchen. I made his bowl of corn flakes and went to give him. He thanked me and ate. Mercy came in and took her car keys, she was taking our grandparents to church. After they left, I prepared water for Luyolo to bath, ndamfakela kwibathing basin. He bathed and wore the clothes he was wearing the previous day. I gave him a toothbrush and colgate and he brushed his teeth. Me:uhm, so you going to P.E ne ngoku? Him:hayi, Ill be around apha. Ndigoduka nawe mna. Me:Im leaving after 12pm. Him:ayo ngxaki. You waited nine years, Ill wait for the few hours. I kissed his lips and walked him out. He got in his car and drove down the street. I went back home, Mercy got back and we cleaned the house, I changed the covers that we used, we swept the yard aswell and then started preparing lunch. We both bathed and got dressed. When our grandparents came back, we dished out, it was early lunch. Satya ke and then we had to leave. Makhulu gave us a little lecture, they gave us some money then sahamba. I texted Luyolo ukba uphi and Mercy drove to the location. Safika nyan uLuyolo emisile. Me:so youll just drive to Kimberly now. Mercy:yep. It was a great weekend indeed. Ill call you xa ndifika. I kissed her cheek. Me:enkosi ne? For everything. She smiled. Her:nah dont worry about it. Bye. I got off, took my bag and went in Luyolos car. Mercy drove off and he followed, changing the route infront. He had even changed his clothes. Me:siyaphi ngoku? Him:theres this beautiful place I saw apha. He pulled up. There were no houses at all. Him:iza. We got out the car and he held my hand sahamba between the woods, it was like a little forest, it got darker as we went deeper in it, the trees blocking the sunlight. Me:ndiyoyika Yolo. Him:sukoyika Zulu lam, ndilapha mos. Saphumela kwindawo entle, there was a waterfall and the sound of water made me relax. Me:wow! Him:beautiful ne? Me:yeah. He kissed my lips. Him:just like you. You know for our wedding. Me:yeah this would be lovely baby, I love it. I took off my shoes and got in the water. I scooped some in my hands and splashed his face. Wahleka then he rolled up his pants and joined me. We played, joked and laughed together. Such a peaceful environment!...
