(9-3) Philadelphia Eagles vs. (8-4) Seattle Seahawks Game - TopicsExpress

(9-3) Philadelphia Eagles vs. (8-4) Seattle Seahawks Game Notes: Two NFC East powerhouses will face off in Philadelphia tomorrow at 4:25 PM on Fox. A game that means everything for the NFC Playoff race, and also the race for both teams divisions. Dallas won on Thursday, meaning we have to win to keep our 1 game lead. The Seattle Seahawks offer a very tough challenge. The defending champs looked sluggish in their first few games, but have not given up a single touchdown in the last two games they have played. They are healthy, they are fast and they are very, very hot. The Seahawks defense is young, fast and physical. They will beat you and run circles around you. They will gang tackle, swarm the ball, out muscle you for an interception or short yards. Last season they had one of the best defenses in NFL History and they are starting to play like it again now that ILB Bobby Wagner is healthy. How can we beat them? Its actually not that hard. The Seahawks are not as dominant as they usually are on the road, especially on the East coast. The Seahawks dont have the elite defensive line that they had a year ago, and the secondary has some holes, especially if you have a good slot receiver, which we do. Jordan Matthews will be critical in this game, along with Zach Ertz. Outside, the Seahawks defense is a wall. Inside, is where you can exploit them. I expect Matthews to get quite a few targets and looks in this game, along with Ertz especially in short yardage and goal line situations. If you can run the ball, you can also win. Our offensive line played brilliantly against Dallas, LeSean McCoy has almost 500 rushing yards in the past two games and Darren Sproles has been solid all season. I expect us to run the ball a healthy amount and then tire the defense with very quick, short passes to the inside. Mark Sanchez needs to read the defenses quick, and be very, very accurate. The Seahawks offense is nothing special, and at home our defense has been terrific. The Hawks offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL at pass protecting, our run defense has been solid all season and Seattle does not have ONE WR worth mentioning now that Golden Tate and Percy Harvin are on different teams. Russell Wilson is the best playmaker at the QB position. He can scramble to buy extra time or for a short or long gain, he has great pocket awareness and rarely turns the football over. He has amazing field vision and can throw at times a cannon shot to wherever the ball needs to be. If we can contain him, he will have a long day. Marshawn Lynch has had a beast season... how do we slow him down? Swarm the ball. He loves to break tackles and make defensive players look silly. The more players around him, the less yards he can dance and pound his way to. Our defensive line has been fantastic this year, along with our linebackers. They will have their hands full... but have the ability to get the job done. No lie, this is a tough game. Seattle is hot and this is a must win game for us to answer Green Bay and Arizona for the NFC and of course Dallas for the NFC East. We are on a 10 game home winning streak, the Linc should be sold out. The energy that will be there tomorrow should push the Eagles over the edge in a 23-20 win.
