A 33-year-old-man was killed when he was ejected from a speeding vehicle that struck a lamp post, then a sign in North Hollywood, police said today. The crash was reported at 13425 Sherman Way at Varna Avenue at 7:31 p.m. Monday, said Sgt. Russell Carr of the Los Angeles Police Departments Valley Traffic Division. ``The vehicle was westbound on Sherman Way at a high rate of speed when it went off the road and collided with a lamp post, then a business sign, Carr said. ``The driver, a 33-year-old man, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. There was a suspect involved and the investigation continues, Carr said.
