A 70-year-old pedestrian has died after a stolen car crashed in Sydney’s south-west earlier today (Monday 10 June 2013). Police were called to Dickens Road, Ambarvale, about 10.45am, after a car overturned and ended up on the front lawn of a property. Police will allege the car, a 1997 Nissan Pulsar, was stolen from an address in Woodbine earlier today. A 70-year-old man, who police believe was walking along the footpath at the time the car crashed, was seriously injured as a result of the incident. He was taken to hospital but died shortly after arriving. Police are now searching for two men who left the car after it overturned. One man was wearing a black and red tracksuit; the other man was wearing a dark top and red tracksuit pants. They were last seen running north towards Jarndyce Avenue. Anyone who sees the men is asked not to approach them but to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
