But a true soldier with british backbone And now as he is lowered below We hope and pray that he knows We all stand with him now as we did then Our women our children and also our men As the flag is given its last perfect fold We are now sending him for the lord to hold Stand down soldier your work here is done Its now time to relax in the clouds and the sun Rest well lad as we stand and weep Your soul and your honour is now your sons to keep Sleep well lee and know he will be loved As you always watch from high up above Rest in peace now with your brothers up there All taken too early we know its not fair But rest now boys play cards and have fun And we will remember at the setting of the sun As we hear that last bugle call For the man who was not ready to fall Fly high Lee Rigby let your spirit rise far Whilst we remember the soldier that you are.
