A Buddakan Adventure: So, Josh and I ordered 2 small salads - TopicsExpress

A Buddakan Adventure: So, Josh and I ordered 2 small salads from Buddakan through Dining In tonight, and it was supposed to take 1 hour. After about 35 minutes, it arrives. Josh goes down our 3 flights to get it, brings it upstairs. I open the bag to find the most delicious smelling duck platter, sashimi, and a few other appetizers. Clearly, not ours. Being the good people we are, we call Dining In to tell them we got the wrong order. As we are doing this, the delivery man rings up to tell us the same. We go down and give him the order back. I tell Josh I am annoyed and going to get our $5.99 delivery fee refunded. Josh waits for our salads to arrive, and they do. He comes back upstairs to eat our salads, and sure enough, the door bell rings again. We try to explain via the intercom that we already received our order, but they insist on us going down to get our order. So I hand Josh another tip and tell him, Just say thank you. Josh goes down and comes back up with a bag twice as large as the first wrong order! I am dying. I literally fell the floor laughing. We got: Another calamari salad, edamame dumplings, some BBQ chicken tacos, pork dumplings, and what looks like a filet dinner with veggies & wasabi mashed. Okay, this looks good. And I didnt feel as bad as I did taking the duck and sashimi. Until Josh told me the delivery man was in his 70s, and then I start to feel tremendous guilt we might get him in trouble. So, we eat the salads and decide to wait a common grace period to see if the delivery man rings again. 45 minutes goes by, and he doesnt. As I am calling my dad to brag about our glorious win, the phone rings. Its Dining In. Josh gets off to tell me they love the delivery man, he will not get in trouble, and we have approval from Dining In to eat the food. And all I can think is I really wish we had kept the first order of duck and sashimi. The End.
