A Champs to remember A wise head once said that new records are a sign of progress. If thats true, high-school athletics has made big strides forward in the last two years. Twenty-seven new marks were set at the 2013 renewal of Boys and Girls Championships. Incredibly, some of those records were among the 20 that fell at Champs two weeks ago. Javon Francis of Calabar High accounted for the biggest of the 14 records set by our boys. His Class One 400 metres run of 45 seconds collects 1,377 points from the IAAF performance comparison tables.
