A Christmas Gift From The Oil Companies: Surprisingly, in the week leading up to Christmas, fuel prices at the pump have been dropping markedly. In my area, petrol/gasoline prices have dropped about 20c per litre over the last week. (Thats about 80 cents per gallon.) Day by day lately Ive watched them drop and have even filled up more often to take advantage of the lower prices before the oil companies decide they meant to increase prices for the holiday period. As I recall, in previous years, fuel prices would rise at this time of year as suppliers took advantage of the need for motorists to fuel their Christmas/New Year travels. So a rousing Thank you! to those benevolent oil companies - Shell, BP, Caltex, and others - for your generosity.
