A Christmas event at Upper St Giles Thursday 5th December 4 - 9pm Upper St Giles Street has been highlighted by the national press quite a lot recently as a really cool place to shop ,eat and live ...Its full of thriving independent businesss ,lovely old houses and flats and this year is playing host to its own Christmas event ...It wont be the last as Upper St Giles wants to build on its growing reputation amongst the discerning resident of Norfolk and beyond Because of its unique position in the city , the council have agreed to shut Upper St Giles Street on Thursday 5th December at 4pm as the streets business owners and residents help celebrate the run up to Christmas . And it sounds like quite an event .. Of course the eclectic mix of shops and parlours will be open til 9pm and hosting their own individual festivities in their own inimitable way...visit each one and try out the competition that will be running throughout .. An array of gorgeous and unusual presents will be beautifully presented .. The aromatic smells from all the different food and drink offerings will be laid out to tempt you .. And in addition ... ...the choir will be singing ...the street organ will be playing ...the lights will be shining ...the band will be playing ...Father Christmas will be ho ho-Ing ...the food stalls and cafés will be serving ...the raffle will be raffling .. ...the chestnuts will be roasting . ..the choir will be singing ...the gifts will be wrapping ...the stallholders will be smiling ...the street organ will be playing ...the residents and shop owners will be greeting ..so please come along and join in the Christmas spirit of Upper St Giles Street .... and please like this post and ask your friends to share it!!!
