A Complicated Understanding There are parallel universes who boast their own brand of brilliance In a mountain of complications the blue breath of this time whispers, trims the consciousness into a long ribbon of sun I chase it like a child I tie it to those who fly too near the worn solution of eternity Here are the stars tonight watching a half moon - In its present form they perch in the curve of its vulnerability A full moon they would not dare Or perhaps the moon is pleased A lap full of stars on a half lit night A mimic of friends that shine And the moon is so wise It is never only the vulnerable who suffer Pain is a transvestite of choices Effortlessly living where it pleases A hologram startling the self to a weak kneed understanding
