A DIVORCE SHOULD NEVER BE CELEBRATED: Was listening to a radio ad moments ago in which the announcer said people could host what he deems divorce parties at an uptown Dallas-area nightclub. How saddening it is that society has arrived at a point where it pays homage to things that shouldnt be celebrated. As a divorcee, I can attest, like many, that fighting for a marriage is indeed a gruesome, brutal process. Conversely, experiencing a divorce is just as devastating and, because God ordained marriage, never should individuals make a mockery of it in the event it dissolves. If nothing else, divorcees should assess what exactly went wrong to trigger the marital dissolution and use those experiences to become a better person. But hooking up friends for stiff drinks to celebrate a divorce only suggest one thing. That is, you think what God ordained was a joke all along. #MyTake
